Brake disc brake is a device that is used on modern vehicles. Brake works by clamping discs usually attached to the wheels of the vehicle, used to clamp the disc caliper piston-driven to push the brake shoes (brake pads) to the disc. Brake type is also used on trains, motorcycles, bicycles.
In car racing materials used are usually of ceramic to be more resistant to the heat generated during the braking process.
Brake drum brakes are working on the basis of friction between the brake shoe and drum that rotates with the wheels of vehicles. In order for friction to slow the vehicle properly, the brake shoes are made of a material having a high coefficient of friction.
Brake drums have a weakness when submerged in water, it can not function properly because the coefficient of friction is reduced significantly / significantly. It is therefore becoming obsolete in the automotive world and replace it with disc brakes.
Wheel is a circular object, which along with the axis, can produce a movement with little friction by rolling. Typical examples are found in the application in transportation. The term is also often used wheels for circular objects more like a waterwheel spinning.
Or steering wheel is a device for driving road vehicles. Steering wheel connected by mechanical or electronic devices to move the wheel towards the driver's desired direction.
To help lighten the work of the driver in driving modern vehicles are usually equipped with power steering, which is an electronic or hydraulic devices to help drivers ease the steering wheel.
mechanical
Steering wheel is connected with several coupling device that converts rotary motion by means of a device such as the steering rack and pinion to the tie rod, steering arm which then shifts the kingpin to drive the wheels. To relieve hydraulic device used to move the steering wheel.
electronik
Steering wheel connected to electrical sensors to monitor steering wheel rotation, then the processor drive an electric motor to move the rack and pinion as the mechanical system.
Suspension is a collection of individual components functioning dampen shock, vibration that occurs in vehicle due to an uneven road surface which can enhance driving comfort and vehicle control. Vehicle suspension system is located between the body (skeleton) with wheels. There are two main types of suspension are:
1. The suspension system dependent or rigid axle suspension system (rigid)
2. Independent suspension system or independent suspension system.
The suspension system dependent
Wheels in a shaft connected to the shaft stiff (rigid), rigid shaft is connected to the body by using springs, shock absorbers and control arm (control arm)
Initially all vehicles using this system. Until now most of the heavy vehicles such as trucks, still use this system, while commercial vehicles generally use this system on the rear wheels.
Independent suspension system
Between the wheel in one axis are not directly connected, each wheel (left and right wheels) is connected to the body or frame to the suspension arms (suspension arm), springs and shock absorbers. Shock or vibration in one of the wheels does not affect the other wheel.
Generally passenger vehicles use this system for all wheel axles, while commercial vehicles generally use this system on the front wheels, while the rear axle suspension system uses dependent on the rear axle. Type MacPherson strut and double-wishbone included in this type of system.
THE MAIN COMPONENTS
spring
With the elastic properties of springs, spring serves to receive wheel vibration or shock result of the condition of the road in order to vibration or shaking of the wheel is not channeling the vehicle body or frame.
Some types of springs used in the suspension system:
> Screw spring (coil spring), also known as 'a snail', the type used is a spring or spring-threaded screw press to accept compressive load.> Spring leaf (leaf spring), commonly used on heavy or commercial vehicles with a suspension system dependent.> Torsional spring or known as torsion bar springs (torsion bar spring), commonly used on vehicles with a load is not too heavy.
shock absorbers
Shock absorbers serve to dampen shock loads or vibrations or shocks received by spring.
suspension sleeve
Suspension arm or suspension arm only in dependent suspension system, mounted on the vehicle body or frame, is used to hold the frame wheel vehicles. Complex movements on the wheel in order to sync with the movement of the movement of the suspension arms are ball joint suspension arms on the binding framework of wheels.
